Lies

I often get really complacent with life.....and really very apathetic about sin...now is not one of those times.

People in my life are facing spiritual battles....we all face them, but some in my life are on the edge of life and destruction due to the lies satan is feeding them. Lies about self, lies about what will really make them happy, lies about what Love truly looks like, lies about what we "deserve". It makes me sick. And I guess it's what I needed to be reminded that sin is serious business, that Satan seeks to kill and destroy, and that our battles are not with flesh and blood, but with principalities - with Satan himself.

This is an old Julie Miller song (she was the Christian Cyndi Lauper of the 90's)
Lots of other people are falling for your tricks
but they don't know that stealing souls is how you get your kicks
but someone told on you and told me what is true
and then He came and rescued me and now I'm through with you!

I'm through with you and all your dirty lies
and it doesn't matter what you say, I'm telling you goodbye.
I'm through with you and now I realize
that you held me on a string but Jesus opened up my eyes.

I'm through, I'm through, I'm through with you!

okay, songs to satan sound kinda dorky. but I'm through. I may have gotten lazy for awhile, but I'm serious about protecting the people I love, and I know who I've got on my side, so satan better look out!!!

You Lasleys are a cultured bunch!! The first time my parents met Todd, they came to church at the Campus House and heard him sing a Julie Miller song, My Psychiatrist.

We'll have to start a Vintage CCM discussion group/support group.....Todd will have a place to talk about Petra and Steve Taylor.....

Okay, I've seen both Wayne Watson and Ray Boltz in concert. But I promise, I didn't enjoy either one.

Now, Geoff Moore's early stuff (Foundations).....excellent!!
