LOST: One Hermit Crab. Nickel-sized, same color as the carpet. Answers to "Cream Puff"

That's right...just 2 weeks after the birthday crabs were purchased, one is now lost somewhere in our house. The first story was that the girls had put it back in the cage upstairs, and it must have just figured out how to remove the lid to the cage....

The story was then amended to account for the possibility that Cream Puff could have been lost in the play room when they were playing with the doll house. (Upon further investigation, I found that the girls had created their very own Doll House Crab Habitat in the guest room with climbing wall, special rugs for the crabs, and crab food...Unfortunately, the doll house is not enclosed).

A third option is that the 3 year old neighbor could have stuck it in her pocket when she was playing that day....

Point is, Cream Puff is missing. We've looked everywhere, cleaned everything (except vacuuming the carpet, because it's the same color)and since Wednesday at 5:30pm, no Cream Puff.

I tried telling Sarah Jane about how my brother Ben had killed our hamster by innocently transporting it in a thick sock...eventually suffocating the hamster....funny, she wasn't consoled.

Did your girls come and put my fish in a "beta habit" by any chance and then put it back in its bowl dead this morning? Maybe @ did it in the night. Eerie that our aquatic pets would meet with their demise at the same time.
