Random thoughts....

There's an older Kim Hill song that keeps going through my head...
I love Fall and living by tall trees
and I love having a fire just before the first hard freeze.
And I thank You for making all of this and holding me in your hands
I guess I'm finally growing up and starting to understand

My brother's family - Jon, Amanda, and Atticus were here Saturday night and we had a spur-of-the-moment wienie roast...of course, including s'mores.

***************

My good friend, Rachael, left Springfield to move on to the next phase of her life while she's waiting for a new kidney...If you happen to have a spare one, let me know.

***************

We got a new (used) car....we'd been sharing one for about 6 months, so it's been nice to not have to think so hard about coordinating rides....it's a Mitsubishi Outlander

***************

I'm often discouraged by politics, but love having good friends with very different perspectives who help me think new ways....this week we saw Al Gore's documentary...

**************

Dr. Mark Noll is speaking at UIS this Thursday....4pm is the reception hosted by CSF, and the Lincoln Lectures are at 7pm in Brookens Auditorium. I'm hoping our students and campus community will take advantage of the opportunity to hear/meet him.

**************

My Beth Moore group is getting lots out of good stuff out of our Patriarchs study....

**************

What's the rule on tipping your hairdresser? Does everybody really do this? How much is expected?? I like my hair chick, but if they're charging ridiculous prices, do I have to tack another $5 on that?!

**************

I love my family!!
