We left Paris at 6:30am and met the Browns and Webbers in Frankfurt for the flight to Addis Ababa. It was fun to see all types of people on the plane - Americans visiting family in Addis, Ethiopians returning, young families traveling to pick up their children, and adoptive families returning to Ethiopia for a visit with their older children.
We were met by the Ethiopia Guest Home staff with flowers and a sign - we loaded all 400 pieces of our luggage into a van with the Webber family.
The Ethiopia Guest Home is beautiful...we had requested a traditional room with a shared bathroom, but when they ran out of rooms, we were put it a suite with private bathroom and balcony. It was a wonderful place to hang out with the 3 families staying there....Dawn and I agreed that it kind of felt like college - living, eating, and hanging out together!
We tried to get a good night's sleep, and prepared to meet our daughter the next morning!!
