Super Bowl Champs!!

It's the first time the Steelers have won a superbowl since 1979....and since that time, my husband has holding out hope for another big victory. So, if for no other reason than that, yesterday was a great day!! We enjoyed the game with some friends from church and Todd's dad and step-mom....one of the things Todd is still talking about this morning is how fun it was to hear the girls cheering on the Steelers (even though they probably only watched about 15 minutes of the game!!).

Got calls from several well-wishers, including Mr. Matt Wallace!! He is still alive, and was apparently watching the SuperBowl last night.....wish we could have talked more. Although it's strange not having them here, I'm so excited about how God must be stretching them right now!

Tonight we're going to the Chris Tomlin Passion Concert (I don't know what they're really calling it)....Louie and Matt Redman will also be there.

I'm ready.

I know that God meets me in different ways and I don't need a big concert for that, but I'm ready to just be submerged in some worship for an evening....worship where I'm not tempted to worry about planning or evaluating or making others comfortable or anything else. I'm grateful to just know I'm God's child, whatever my mood or season....but i'd like to feel Him a little more intensely right now.....

Psalm 63:1-5
Oh God, you are my God
Earnestly I seek You.
My soul thirsts for you,
my body longs for you in a
dry and weary land where there
is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power
and your glory.

Because your love is better than life
my lips will glority you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in yourname I will lift up my hands.

My soul will be satisfied as with the
richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you. Posted by Picasa
