Catching Up....

Lots of fun stuff going on in the life of the Magruder family......

Today we sent our adoption application to Children's Hope International....packed with photos (thanks, Jeremy!!), Dr's letters, and our first chunk of adoption change!! Sophia really is excited....that's just her tough look.....If they accept us, we'll get started with the home study in the next few weeks!

  • Church Camp at LSCA with 4th and 5th graders was a blast! Pirates of the Galilean was the theme, and Captain TJ Gardner hooked me up with the coolest hat, sword, and flag EVER (thanks, TJ!)!! Sarah Jane was out there with her friends, and Sophia came out for 2 days while Todd went to see David Crowder with some students.....

  • What happens when it takes 2 hours for your oven to cook a pizza?! Your house fills up with GAS and CILCO puts a mean, red poster on your oven till you get it fixed....what came first, the gas leak or the broken stove? we let the Cilco guy and the oven repair guy hash it out but it finally got fixed. The Thursday James study was moved up to RCC for the evening since most of my family was already feeling ill from the fumes.....what an adventure!

  • Quick trip to Cincinnati (actually, Milford for those of you who care to know) to see Ben (my bro) and Chessa, Sidney, Tyler, and Katelyn. We got on this amazing bike trail that goes something like 60 miles from Cinci to almost Dayton (of course, we only biked about .2 miles of it!!) Had a nice picnic, minimal whining, and a minor biking accident...I ended up with a huge purple/green bruise on my leg....and lost a little pride along the way.

Did lots of swimming at the neighborhood pool, and got to see their VBS program, "Game Day Central" Sunday morning....
  • We're off to South Dakota tomorrow to see our good friends, the Dillings!! We'll be back Sunday night, so it's a quick trip, but we're stocked up on Monster Cookies, books, Caramel Corn, a borrowed portable DVD player, and drinks for the 10-hour trip.
To sum it all up....God is so good. We're getting to see His provision and His protection daily. I'm praying for more and more of His Holy Spirit to lead and equip and fill and bubble over in the Magruder family....and I'm praying that for many of you, too!!

So excited about the progress on the adoption front. Its in the forefront of our thoughts these days. Really thinking about how much our family has the power to bless another kid.
