Fingerprints

We got our very official-looking letters today from the Department of Homeland Security, telling us to report to the US Citizenship andn Immigration Services offices in St. Louis next Friday for our 3rd set of fingerprints!!

This isn't a huge deal and doesn't mean our Homestudy woes are over, but it's kind of exciting to have something to do (as opposed to the waiting I'm getting so accustomed to!). The kids will still be out of school, so we'll make a day of it and go to the City Museum or something...

Interesting note: the letter specifically says no cameras, cell phones, or recording devices allowed. Isn't that wierd?

Lots of Christmas fun to share soon.....

This is good news! When Bob and I went for ours we were expecting some high security government building. It was nothing like that. The facility we went to was in a store front behind a Sam's club. No metal detectors or guards at the door. The inside was pretty boring. Drab metal desks and plastic chairs. The employees didn't seem real happy but they weren't rude or anything. The finger print machine thingy was pretty cool.

I hope everything else starts moving along for you also.

Sorry this comment is so after the fact. It's always very nice when you have something to do aside from just waiting. Leigh and I can relate. We're working on our dossier right now, which is sort of the next mound of paperwork that actually goes to the country we're adopting from. Feels like something we have some control over. You guys continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
