Our Homestudy is finally done!! It was actually done, approved, and notarized last week and mailed to us a few days ago, but I think it took me a few days to believe that it's really done...
Of course, the paperwork continues as we get our Dossier ready...I guess I just needed to stop and celebrate this little victory along the way!

Great news! I think if our schedule allows (big if since it would need to fall between guest visits and school), Amanda'd still be interested in meeting you in Africa. Let us know when you'll be traveling.

Congratulations! We are so happy for you. Cheri and Randy
That's awesome news, Gretchen! Prayers for a smooth process from here on out! :)
So having your homestudy approved means what? There are governing bodies that agree that you have a safe and loving home. That is seriously cool. You should tell people that. "Yes, my home is certified by state agencies as a safe and loving environment for children to grow up in." That's like best mom of the year award.
To say that I would remember anything in Amharic would be a lie. I knew a few phrases at one point in life. I learned Oromifa and Tigrinya. But people always thought my Tigrinya sounded like I was an Amhar because I can't back sounds. I was an Amache but that has even been a long time ago. Its in my heart though.
YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!Seems like forever!! SO glad, you are moving now!!!!YAYYYYYY!!!!!!(you deserve two yayys for patience)
Congrats! Every victory needs to be celebrated! Hopefully CIS moves swiftly for you!
