Mother of the Year

Our younger daughter woke up in the middle of the night with an ear ache. I rummaged through the cabinets looking for children's ibuprophen/tylenol/whatever. When I couldn't find any, I thought I'd settle for some childrens cold medicine that might have some pain-killing property. Nothing. So, we snuggle a bit on the couch, she says she's feeling better anyway, and send her back to bed.

30 minutes later we hear sobbing from her room. Her ear still hurts and it's 11:30 at night. So, like any good mother, I cut open a Ibuprophen Soft-tab capsule and pour the liquidy middle into a glob of chocolate chip cookie dough.

She slept the rest of the night.

What would you have done?

that's very creative! I'm not sure I would have thought of it. Two of ours are big enough to take adult dosages these days. Glad you all got some sleep, too.

You are one creative lady my friend!!

My husband swears by a little whiskey rubbed on the gums of teething babies. His mom did it, her mom did it -- his sister did it.
