Opportunity to Host an Orphan

For 3 weeks this summer, In His Hands Orphans Outreach will be bringing several orphans from the Philippines to the Springfield area. The purpose of the hosting program is to find forever families for each child. Once a child turns 5, he only has a 5% chance of ever being adopted, so we really hope to make a difference for these kids. The children that will be participating in this program will be between the ages of 7 and 12, with most being 9 or older.

They prefer to have host parents who are interested in adoption. If any of the host parents decide not to adopt the boy or girl they host, then they will look for someone else interested in adopting the child. The children will be told that they are coming to the US for an educational experience. After the 3 weeks, the children will return to the Philippines. Then their prospective adoptive parents will get their dossier (paper work) put together, and travel approximately 6 months later to get their child.

The hosting program will begin around July 25 and go through the second week of August.
We will also need a family to host the 2 chaperones that will be escorting the children. Other volunteers will be needed to plan fun activities. If you are interested in volunteering in some capacity, we would also welcome your participation!

Thank you in advance for helping to locate loving Christian host parents for these orphans.
