I've been reading a book lately called "Do you think I'm beautiful?"...kind of an expose' of a woman's heart....We learn pretty early to stop asking that question. We don't have to...because the tv and magazines and our classmates all make it very clear that we need improvement in that department. So instead we try to be the smartest, the most dependable, the most helpful, self-sacrificial....anything to be noticed by the world.
I have two young daughters. I want them to grow up differently than I did. I want them to know without a doubt that there's someone who is CRAZY about them!! And certainly, their dad and I are crazy about them, but we'll let them down....I want them to know that God thinks they're beautiful...that His heart flutters when he looks at them....that he'd stay up late into the night talking or dancing...just to be with them.
As a matter of fact, I want to know that for myself....really know it...deep down....
