So I've convinced Sophia that mommies can tell when their children are lying by touching their noses. If their nose is warm, it means the child is telling a lie.
When I suspect she's making something up, I sometimes say, "well, I guess I'll just have to touch your nose to find out for sure"....I'll see her mind going a million miles a minute, trying to figure out what to do...then, one of 2 things happens:
1) She smiles broadly and says, "okay, go ahead!" or
2) She kind of stammers and backpedals, saying, "well, I meant to say...."
It works pretty well....
But....
does that mean that her mommy is lying?
will she find that the whole nose thing is a lie if she touches my nose?!
