Okay, so Todd's birthday isn't until July 2nd, but being at the beginning of the month, it always sneaks up on me. This year, because I love my husband even more than I did last year, and because I'm going to be out of the country for the birthday celebration, I want to plan ahead to do something really special for him.
So, I'm looking for ideas.....what do you get for the guy who always responds to the question, "What do you want for Christmas/birthday/father's day?" with "Uh....books.....music?"
More importantly, what do you get that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
He loves the Steelers....I could go with that theme.....
I could plan an overnight trip for the two of us....but with family and vacation and Russia, that might be tricky....plus I'd like to get him something he can actually enjoy on his birthday...
new clothes?
tools? no, he doesn't use the ones he has....
I'm taking suggestions, so let me know what great ideas you have, and I'll give you partial credit!!

you should get him some of those russian eggs that fit inside of each other and give some picturesof the Steelers to an old babushka lady to paint specifically for Todd.
He does seem to talk about KISS a lot, get him a cardboard standup of Gene Simmons. Would be good for any kitchen/dining room
I think I used this idea for you or Ben one year when I was like 6: Find one of his favorite things he already owns. Wrap it. Give it to him for his birthday. The perfect gift for someone who already has everything he needs. And it won't cost you a thing.
Gretchen would you send me one of Todd's other favorite things. I'll wrap it up and send it too him ala Jonathan's idea.
Perhaps you could get him a chocolate fountain. Like a mostly present.

An important update, however, on my new chocolate fountain business...I found a mini-fountain/fondue pot at Target (who knew!?) for $50....still too expensive, but I'll be watching the Target clearance isle! A mini-fountain may not cut it for a fancy wedding or party, but it'd be great for a ministry event (and, really, if we're honest about it, the fountain is more for me than for anyone else, right?)
