Daniel

We made fried potatoes for dinner last night. Not so exciting for most, but our whole family was commenting on how we had forgotten how much we loved fried potatoes, and why didn't we have them more often?

This week I'm starting Beth Moore's study of Daniel. I know you'll find this hard to believe....but I sometimes struggle to regularly spend time in the Word. I can quickly forget how much I love it, the life it brings, the freedom it gives, how the Holy Spirit so clearly speaks through it. And I wonder, why don't I do this more often?

I thrive on routine, so her studies help me stay in the Word over the summer. But it's not just the bible study....once I open it, once I give God my attention.......

The one thing I ask of the Lord - the thing I seek most - is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord's perfections and meditating in his Temple. Psalm 27

Haven't had fried potatoes in awhile?! Crack open God's word....Taste and remember....why don't we do this more often?!
