Isaiah 12:5
Sing to the Lord, for He has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel.
I love working on the college schedule, because you get lots of chances to start over...realize you're not a morning person and need to switch your work schedule? start over and don't get up till Noon! Think you can't stand one more lecture from that professor? start over with a new class! Feel like your spiritual life is in a bit of a rut? It's a perfect time to shake things up and start over with a fresh journal, a new bible reading plan, or good book.
Tomorrow Todd and I are taking a date day while we still have free babysitting (school). Our End of May tradition is to spend some time setting family goals and talking about who we want to be as a family. We'll spend some time talking at Barnes and Noble or Panera, have lunch at Friday's (we've had a gift card for about 6 months), and take a romantic trip to the police department for our Dossier police clearance letters.
The summer is going to be packed with fun stuff....but the thing I long for is more and more of Jesus...I sing to the Lord because He has done great things in my life! I'm starting over this summer with Isaiah, with a "get active" plan, with a better attitude about money, and hopefully, with some extra patience for my kids!
Sing aloud....for great is the Holy One of Isreael!!
