We do more before 8am......



Does anybody else feel like the first day of school is a little like the Olympics I've been staying up too late watching?! This morning we competed in:
  • Clothing Coordinating
  • Hair straightening
  • Breakfast eating
  • Bookbag packing (almost got disqualified for over-stuffing)
  • New-shoe lacing
  • Lunch box packing
  • picture taking
and the new one this year.....
  • trying to think straight about all of the significant, inspirational things you want to say to your kids to comfort and encourage them while a very nice newspaper photographer tells you to "just act normal"!
It's 8am, they're on the bus, and we're off to campus for Freshman Move-In Day at UIS!
