Playlists

Mark Batterson wrote a great post about alarms - - how we set alarms to wake us up physically in the morning, but maybe we need an alarm to wake us up spiritually. So he suggested creating a morning playlist for your ipod that would help wake your soul up to what God is doing all around us.

So I'm beginning to think about my playlist....

Beauty of the Lord - Desperation Band
Great God Who Saves - Laura Story

What would songs would be on your Soul Alarm playlist?

Wow how do I even pick.

Might to Save
The Altar and the Door - Casting Crowns

So many

I actually attended a weekend conference put on by CIY in the winter of my senior year in high school where we discussed how we need to not hit the snooze button on God. That's what your post made me think of.

Gretchen---totally unrelated to your post, but I LOVE the new layout. You've inspired me to look for a new one, too.

My kids went to an awesome bible school this summer and got a cd of cool songs - their favorite is "Friend Like That." But I don't know who sings it. Very upbeat - it would get your heart pumping in the morning - for sure!

Like your blog-over. I'm in the midst of one myself, but I'm slow on the decisionmaking.

I think my playlist would include a couple songs from the African Children's Choir - for sure!
