What a sweetie you have!!! Her personality is so precious!! : ) We kept trying to catch her name and never could get it exactly! ; ) We thought it was Meskarem for awhile then Mintesinot. Good to know her name! We had fun playing together with some little bouncy balls we had taken. We bounced back and forth and counted to 100 together (she needed help getting to 100, but would follow once we hit the next tens switch). The older kids were always yelling hellos when we would come and go. "M" was always one giving hugs and kisses.So....a couple of things....I'm guessing she means that Peanut could count to 100 in English? I'm hoping to hear more about how much English she has...and maybe sizes. We have several families who will be traveling before we do, so I look forward to getting more reports!
She was pretty tall, but maybe that's just because the others are younger and she just seemed taller. You'll have fun welcoming her into your family! Get ready for her smile. : )

Another family from our adoption agency just returned from bringing siblings home from Ethiopia. Jenni was kind enough to email me with this update...it makes me smile!

So awesome to get an update! That is so very fun to get to hear bits and pieces of her personality and such. Very cool!
Gretchen,
This is beautiful, I am SO happy for you all! I am letting a tear fall down my cheek, so you must have bawled when you read this report!
Much joy and many blessings to you,
Bethany
I think the counting in English is a pretty safe bet. Although the Cunninghams are amazing, I cannot imagine anyone learning to count to 100 in Amharic.
this means your girl is SUPER smart! Woo-Hoo!
I'm so glad she is affectionate too. You guys seem like the hug/kiss/"I love you" type (which we are too) and I know having a Peanut that returns that affection will really help with the transition.
I simply cannot wait until your court date so I too can see her beautiful smile!!
How fun to hear your story progress...I'm teary eyed and I just joined in the excitement :)
How awesome!!! Just think...in a short while you will be able to do the same thing for another family!!!
How wonderful to get this update! these are the things to keep us going during the wait. Peanut sounds precious.
