Rhythms of Grace

I'm not gonna lie. This adoption thing is hard. I mean, the paperwork and waiting and money-raising is excruciating....but learning to do LIFE with this new little person is the really hard work.

So...I'm a little on edge. When my "go-with-the-flow" husband starts commenting on how stressed out or crabby I am, then I know it's real. Add to that, our campus ministry's annual fundraising dinner this Friday night and a host of other things coming up....

It felt so good to read Matthew 11:28-30 with Todd and the girls yesterday morning...
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me, and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me - - watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly

Today I'm working on that whole living to live freely and lightly part....

I am with your Gretchen. It really is hard to add another child to the family this way. I know that it will all even out soon but it takes time.

I think that it is great that you are working on it in such a positive way. Blessings to you as you learn to live more freely and lightly.

I think it's so inspiring that you are not only finding ways to adjust, but working it out as a FAMILY - -all together. WONDERFUL! Thanks for Inspiring me today Gretch!

Hang in there. It is hard but it gets easier with time. And, unfortunately, you can't make time go any faster.
