So, once I got past that fact that my innocent daughter is being indoctrinated with her first American propaganda, I couldn't help but grab the camera...
And continuing with our patriotic theme.....Sophia was a finalist in the area-wide Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Essay Contest. We attended the awards ceremony at LLCC last night and were treated to stories from Abe and Mary Todd Lincoln themselves. Of course, Sophia's fictional story about Abe was a love story....yeah, that's the stage we're in right now....

That is absolutely precious. I love that the pledge of allegiance leads into song. So great!!!
what i learned in some education class is that we have kids memorize the pledge more as a benchmark of development and learning than a statement of their patriotism. And when you look at it as the "math facts" of civics, well you start to settle down about the whole "blind patriotism" thing. that and i don't know that we need to worry about her indoctrination when she calls him "donkey doodle" too cute.
What a cutie! I'm still in awe of how quickly the kids pick things up. Nothing is going to stop that girl :)
All three of your girls are just too cute!!! Love the pic with the Lincolns!!
