The Great Pumpkin Shortage

Somebody's gotta do something about the pumpkin shortage.

What? you knew nothing about it? How have you been making those amazing Chocolate Pumpkin Muffins? Pumpkin Bread? Pumpkin Cake with yummy cream cheese icing??

If you're like me, you haven't been making any of those things, because YOU CAN'T FIND PUMPKIN IN SPRINGFIELD.

So I decided to take matters into my own hands, and I planted some pumpkin seeds tonight....and in about 6 months, I'll have pumpkin muffins.

please plant 6 extras for me. I'm going to be needing a lot of pumpkin TLC. I have this Pumpkin Sausage stew thing that I've been thinking of because we can't get sausage here. If I come all the way to US and can't get pumpkin, I'm going to feel a little put out.:)

I (being lazy) left our Halloween pumpkins on our front stoop until March-ish. I know, I know. Shame. So, in all likelihood, I'll have pumpkins sooner. Ha ha. There will be no shortage around our house!

Ashley, I can't tell you how many times I've left old pumpkins in the garden to self-plant...and they've NEVER come up for me! last year I intentionally planted some, and they didn't either. I'm hoping this is the year!

Well, I hope ours don't this year. :) My husband was mentioning it, and I replied "I had a baby!" Sure, that was 8 months ago, but I'm using that excuse at least until she turns a year to remove blame from myself for household missteps. :)
