Local Newspaper Highlights Campus Ministry at UIS
The State Journal Register did a story about the campus ministry we work with at the University of Illinois at Springfield. I was a little nervous about how they'd spin it, but the article was pretty good. The only major correction worth making is about the staff...it's funny that the writer assumed that the women-folk were just volunteers. Lindsey Lasley is one of the most valuable members of our staff!
As a matter of fact, Lindsey did the teaching this past Friday night from Hebrews 11, and she had all of the students write out and share their own stories of faith. It was so exciting to hear about all of the things the students in our community had been doing by faith.
I can't imagine a better place to do ministry, or better people to do ministry with!
